• Location: This role will alternate daily travel to 3 hospital sites in Dowagaic, Allegan, and Plainwell Michigan

• Develop departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.


• Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.


• Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.


• Prepare and monitor budget(s) and ensures that assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits.

RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date requied.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.


• Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience required.


• 10 years of experience preferred.


• 2 years of leadership or management experience required.


• 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional PreferencesMasters degree RN in Michigan. 3 yrs of Nursing leadership experience in Acute setting. Director level experience preferred. Provides Nursing Director level oversight of nurse managers and their clinical staff at 3 locations- Ascension Borgess Lee, Ascension Borgess Pipp & Ascension Borgess Allegan (Locations: Dowagiac, Plainwell, & Allegan). 2 are critical access hospitals & one is an LTACH.
